Fernando Hierro (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1981), is a visual artist based in Malmö. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law, and is an art historian and art educator at the University of Buenos Aires. His practice explores the question of materiality, from a point of view where the conditions and structure of knowledge are problematized in relation to place and perception, through installations, paintings, drawings, text, pedagogy and performance. His work has been exhibited at CICA Art Museum (South Korea), MAAC (Ecuador), Center for Latin American Arts, University of Texas, (USA), Posverso Biennial (Argentina), Lugar de la Memoria, Lima (Peru), Nacka Konsthall and Martin Bryder Galleri (Sweden) among others.
